Description

As slow, weak swimmers, Pacific seahorses wrap their tails around corals or blades of seagrass for stability as well as protection from predators. They can be found in shallow waters over reefs and protected bay and subtidal habitats. Their bodies are generally maroon, yellow or brownish green.
