Dune buggy – kit from LEGO® bricks

Description

This fun and colourful dune buggy by Elliott Mathews was inspired by the vehicle that appeared in the 1974 film Altrimenti ci arrabbiamo! (English: Watch Out, We’re Mad!) starring comedy duo Terence Hill and Bud Spencer. Elliott says of the design: “The whole car was very fun to design, but the back windshield and tarp roof were especially challenging.”

The dune buggy in the film was manufactured by Puma, an Italian company specialising in kit cars. The dune buggy was built over a VW Beetle chassis and equipped with a 1192 cm³ air-cooled engine.

This model is supplied without the shown minifigures of Kid and Ben.
