White doves have been symbols of peace, freedom and love for centuries. Jean spends most of her time with wild animals, so meeting a domesticated bird with such an iconic image made for a nice change. Here, Dotty the dove bears an olive branch in her beak and is accompanied by a haiku on peace. The two empty spots next to her can be filled by whatever you would like to display, though from this afternoon we will be releasing planes representing the opposing sides from the first nine decades of air warfare. Our hope is that, in these turbulent times, the message accompanying this dove may remind us to keep the dream of peace alive.
