Fork-tailed devil
Germans almost reverentially called the heavy American fighter plane, which was manufactured by the Lockheed Corporation from 1941 to 1945, the ‘fork-tailed devil’ (Gabelschwanzteufel). With the Lockheed P-38 Lightning and the associated Allison Engine Company V-1710 V-12 engine, all of the kits created by Peter Blackert in his book How to Build Brick Airplanes are now available from us.
