Description
The latest technology and a beautiful design – the BMW i8 Hybrid is more than a modern sports car. In 2009, the revolutionary driving concept was presented at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. It has been produced since 2014.
The technology behind it consists of a so-called plug-in hybrid system. A 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with turbocharger was combined with an electric drive. Together, the two have 362 hp and bring the racer to a top speed of 250 km/h.
The fuel consumption is not very easy to determine, as it varies depending on how you drive, ranging between 2 and 7 litres per 100 kilometres. To ensure that driving enjoyment does not come cheap, there is the purchase price: the Coupé costs €135,000; the Roadster added in 2017 costs €155,000.
