This set contains the original LEGO® bricks for a model of the V 100 diesel loco of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. Instructions not included. You can find them in Gabriele Ruthsatz and Ralf J. Klumb‘s book LEGO-Loks bauen!
Please note that this kit does not include the electrical components to drive this loco.
For this model, we also offer a variant with 3 straight track sections and a name tag. This variant is ideal if the model is to have a place of honour in a display cabinet, for example.

Description
Anyone who doesn’t know exactly what to expect from a bread-and-butter locomotive, here you go: use a V 100 diesel locomotive. In the 1960s, it faithfully and modestly replaced steam locomotives, principally on non-electrified branch lines.
Among others, the V 100 benefited from experience with the V 80, for example, through improved cardan shafts. Until the trusty, diesel hydraulic draught horse was technically obsolete and decommissioned at some point. However, some specimens have been in use at various private and museum railways beyond 2004.
